Determination of Resistance Levels of Some Onion Cultivars or Inbreed Lines with Fusarium Testing at Seedling Stage

This study was carried out to determine the resistance levels of some onion genotypes in Yalova gene pool by Fusarium testing during seedling stage. The isolate used oxysporum f. sp. cepae, which causes damping off stage and later basal rot bulbs. variance analysis for test mean differences against control were analyzed using General Linear Model Tukey test. germination rate seeds varied between 72% 98%, while inoculated 39% 93%. Texas Early Grano 502 showed highest level with a survival 83.8%, 19Y07 19Y142 higher than other genotypes. Resistance 19Y51, 19Y15 19Y73 lower Akgün 12 moderate 59.6%. Determining these may be preliminary step towards further studies.
